Cookie Notice
This notice explains how London Debt Collectors uses cookies and similar technologies on ldcollectors.com, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR. Last updated June 2026.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They allow a site to recognise your device and store limited information about your preferences or past actions. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels and server-side logging where appropriate; references to “cookies” in this notice include those technologies.
2. Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function (for example, security, load balancing, remembering your cookie-consent choice). These do not require consent under PECR Regulation 6(4).
- Analytics / performance — anonymised or pseudonymised data about how visitors use the site, so we can measure performance and improve content. Set only with your consent.
- Functional — remember preferences such as language or accessibility settings. Set only with your consent.
- Marketing — we do not currently set advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. If this changes in future, we will update this notice and request fresh consent.
3. Your choices
When you first visit the site you will be asked to accept or reject non-essential cookies via our consent banner. You can change your preferences at any time by clearing your browser’s cookies for this site and revisiting the banner. Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings — see aboutcookies.org.uk for instructions for major browsers. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the operation of the site.
4. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where technically practicable by treating them as a withdrawal of consent for non-essential cookies. We do not respond to legacy “Do Not Track” browser headers, which lack a settled industry standard.
5. Third-party cookies
Where third-party services (for example, font delivery, error monitoring or video hosting) set cookies, those providers act as separate controllers for their own cookies. We list current third parties and their roles in our internal records of processing activity and will provide them on written request.
6. Retention
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies expire after a defined period appropriate to their purpose, generally no longer than 13 months for analytics and functional cookies, after which fresh consent is requested.
7. More information
For information about how we handle personal data more generally, please read our Privacy Policy. If you have any questions about this Cookie Notice, contact us at info@ldcollectors.com.
